HSE Advisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor with in-depth knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM Regs) to support the civils clearance phase of the high-profile Sizewell C nuclear infrastructure project. This part-time role (3 days per week) is ideal for a seasoned HSE professional looking for a flexible, long-term opportunity on a nationally significant development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on CDM 2015 Regulations, ensuring full compliance throughout the civils clearance phase.

• Provide HSE guidance and assurance to the project team, supply chain partners, and stakeholders.

• Review and assess Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, and associated HSE documentation.

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to monitor and promote safe working practices.

• Assist in incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are implemented effectively.

• Liaise with the Principal Contractor and Client-side teams to maintain high HSE standards aligned with project requirements and nuclear sector best practices.

• Support the preparation and submission of reports, HSE metrics, and improvement plans.
