Job Role\n\nRole purpose Delivery of a BBV‑controlled HS2 civils package, ensuring safe, compliant, programme‑driven execution in line with BBV systems, assurance processes and HS2 standards.This is a delivery‑led Project Manager role, responsible for governance, assurance, Temporary Works control, and interface management — not an office‑only\n\nPM.Core responsibilities 1. Overall package leadership (subcontractor role)\n\n * Act as the single point of responsibility to BBV for delivery, compliance and coordination.\n\n * Lead site team (Site Manager, Supervisors, Engineers, TWC/TWS, Environmental support).\n\n * Represent The Client in BBV progress, coordination and assurance meetings.\n\n2. Health, Safety & CDM leadership\n\n3.

Quality & assurance (non‑negotiable on HS2)\n\n4. Change control & Field Change Requests\n\n5. Temporary Works governance (MANDATORY competence)\n\n * Act as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) for the package.\n\n * Ensure Temporary Works are:\n\n * correctly identified and classified\n\n * entered into the Temporary Works Register\n\n * designed, checked and approved\n\n * permitted and inspected prior to use.\n\n * Coordinate Temporary Works Designers, Checkers and Supervisors.\n\n * Ensure full compliance with BBV Temporary Works procedures (BS5975 aligned).\n\nTWC certification is mandatory for this role.6.

Lifting operations & cranage ( competence)\n\n * Provide competent oversight of lifting operations.\n\n * Where holding AP (Lifting), act as Appointed Person for lifting activities including:\n\n * lift planning\n\n * crane selection\n\n * interface with BBV lifting teams\n\n * compliance with lift plans and permits.\n\nAppointed Person (Lifting) certification is strongly .7. Digital systems & information control\n\nEssential candidate requirements (screening criteria)Qualifications & certification\n\n * Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) – REQUIRED\n\n * SMSTS or equivalent – REQUIRED\n\n * Appointed Person (Lifting) – \n\n * Engineering / construction qualification .\n\nExperience\n\n * Proven Project Manager experience on complex civils / infrastructure works.\n\n * Experience delivering works under a principal contractor assurance regime (HS2, Network Rail, highways, major frameworks).\n\n * Strong background in:\n\n * Temporary Works control\n\n * ITP‑led quality systems\n\n * NCR management\n\n * Formal change control.\n\nBehavioural expectations (critical for BBV)
