Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client is looking for an HR Business Process & Systems Specialist in Auburn Hills, MI!This contract opportunity (possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate of $40.31/hour (benefits are available).Description: The HR Business Processes and Systems Specialist is responsible to ensure process and data integrity within the HRtechnology platform – including the HR Data Warehouse. They will liaison between HR and IT to ensure proper functionality of applications and data process flows. They are also responsible for defining, testing, and implementing enhancements to the processes and technologies as business processes evolve.
The position will also be responsible for Workday Business Process support, including mass upload activity and maintenance of Macro / Visual Basic tools in support of major employment activity.
The position will also partner with global colleagues to ensure that the Systems and associated integrations are properly planned, developed, implemented, maintained, and audited.
This position will serve as an internal advisor to the Human Resources organization, helping them to streamline operations, develop and implement new solutions, and make enhancements to existing programs. The successful candidate will be able to understand key processes, identify and mitigate risks, and make recommendations that will ensure the control and integrity of Human Resources data and operational activities. They will work closely with internal colleagues to ensure business rules and requirements are fulfilled with the highest level of accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
The successful candidate will need to be able to think strategically, as well as be comfortable getting into the details of processes, technology, and business needs. They must be able to understand the desired outcomes of their business customers and translate them into process and technical solutions that achieve those goals. Strong analytical and project management skills are critical, as responsibilities include coordination between business customers and IT, as well as global colleagues. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience in Human Resources Information Technology Management (HRIS, HRIT or HRTMS), or HR Partner roles
- Highly proficient in Office platforms suite of tools
- Highly proficient in Excel, including Macro and Visual Basic coding
- Experience with HRIS Systems – Workday, PeopleSoft
- Experience with ad-hoc reporting tools such as Cognos Requirements:
- Educational concentration in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong desire to learn and a curiosity of what “could be” with existing programs and processes, while keeping up to speed on advances in the technology landscape
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – with the ability to effectively communicate complex issues within all levels of the organization
- Change advocacy/consulting skills - effective in implementing change within role, seeks to learn and implement best practices
- Strong reporting and analytical skills to facilitate data-driven decisions
- Proven track record in Project Management
- Broad HR technical expertise and systems knowledge - working knowledge of HR functional areas through prior experience
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Experience with Management applications
- Experience with ad-hoc reporting software
