Job DescriptionJob Description

The Hotel Engineering Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and safety of a hotel’s structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with brand standards and guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities include leading technicians, managing preventative maintenance, fixing HVAC/plumbing, and controlling costs. They frequently inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, maintaining high safety standards.

Compensation:

$23 - $24 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule engineering staff for daily repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Develop, execute, and track PM programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Guest Room & Facility Care: Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring all equipment, furniture, and systems function properly.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal codes, including emergency systems and fire safety.
• Repair Execution: Perform and supervise repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Operations Support: Manage inventory, track utility usage, and control departmental expenses.
• Response Time: Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests, minimizing operational disruptions.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Generally 3–6 years of related work experience in hotel maintenance or a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Supervisory Skills: Previous leadership experience leading a maintenance team is usually required.
