Our client specializes in custom-made hose assemblies and is seeking a Hose Fabricator / Shop Laborer to become an integral part of their operation. This role requires both technical skill and a keen attention to detail, as youll be working closely with the Shop Foreman to fabricate hoses according to customer specifications and conduct various warehouse operations.

Shop Laborer Job Responsibilities

• Cut hose to customer specifications and attach components following manufacturer guidelines
• Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests for leak detection when necessary
• Execute receiving and warehousing procedures, including verification of incoming parts, materials, and supplies
• Maintain and restock warehouse areas while ensuring a clean and safe work environment
• Handle customer order entry and fulfillment, including sales order preparation and inventory checks
• Report equipment malfunctions, defective materials, and irregular operations to appropriate management
• Uphold safety standards and use tools and equipment with care
• Attend manufacturer and safety training programs, as well as in-house workshops

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
• Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing or hose fabrication
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory software for customer order processing
• Basic mathematical skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks like lifting up to 20 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs occasionally, as well as standing, walking, bending, and reaching
