Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with a strong emphasis on operating equipment for grading, leveling, and site preparation. The ideal candidate will have experience working on construction sites and be proficient in using a variety of heavy equipment to support earthmoving and infrastructure projects. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate dozers for clearing, pushing, spreading, and site preparation activities. · Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation. · Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and construction drawings. · Utilize GPS systems, laser levels, and other field equipment to achieve accurate grading and alignment. · Assist with excavation, trenching, backfilling, and compaction as needed. · Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule. · Maintain a safe work environment by following all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
At least one (1) year of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
- Experience operating a variety of equipment, including but not limited to:
- Backhoe
- Roller
- Loader
- Excavator
- Water truck
- Dump truck
- Strong understanding of grading techniques and site layout.
- Familiarity with GPS machine control systems and computer generated models, laser levels, and other construction technology.
- Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL but not required.

Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather, dust, and noise.
- May require extended hours, including overtime and weekends depending on project needs.
