The Staff Pad has partnered with Corporate Contractors, a premier commercial roofing company based in Beloit, Wisconsin, to identify an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on role essential to the safe and effective execution of commercial demolition and excavation projects
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Demolition/Excavation Division Manager, the Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery, maintaining safe and clean job sites, and supporting demolition and excavation operations across multiple job sites. This role involves a mix of fieldwork, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and heavy trucks.

Safely demolish structures and perform excavation work on commercial job sites.

Conduct daily equipment inspections and general maintenance (oil, grease, fuel, etc.).

Mobilize trucks with necessary materials and tools for the day’s operations.

Maintain awareness of job site surroundings to ensure safety for all personnel.

Keep work zones and equipment clean and professionally maintained.

Read and interpret plans or work orders as needed.

Complete daily time entries and safety checklists.

Uphold and enforce all OSHA and company safety standards.

Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.

Assist in motivating crew members and promoting high-quality production.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience in demolition, excavation, or related construction fields.

Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance that meets company standards.

Ability to obtain OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Forklift, and Aerial certifications within the first year of employment.
Additional Requirements:

Ability to travel to various job sites as needed (up to 100% travel).

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with safety procedures, job site etiquette, and construction best practices.

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work in variable weather conditions.

Comfortable using basic software tools including Microsoft Office and timekeeping apps.
