Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Mechanic to repair and maintain heavy equipment for a 1st shift direct hire Heavy Equipment Mechanic opportunity with outstanding benefits in the greater Martinsville, Virginia area.

Primary Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance and safety related repairs on heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, off road dump trucks, cranes, forklifts, skid steers, generators, welders, water pumps, and hydraulic pumps.
  
• Maintain parts inventory
  
• Log equipment hours for PM scheduling
  
• Coordinate with vendors
  
• Plan work procedures
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 3 years of mobile mechanic experience
