We are seeking an experienced Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join the team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of construction and heavy- duty equipment used in site development and utility projects. The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety- conscious professional who takes pride in keeping out fleet running efficiently and safely. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel and heavy equipment, including backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, and work trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
· Service and repair heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and dump trucks.
· Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and maintain accurate service records.
· Troubleshoot malfunctions and determine proper repair procedures using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
· Inspect, adjust, and replace components such as brakes, transmissions, fuel systems, and electrical wiring.
Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years of experience as a diesel and/or heavy equipment mechanic (construction industry ).
· Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
· Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
· Must own a complete set of mechanic’s tools
· Strong mechanical/hydraulic skills and basic electrical troubleshooting
