Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We are looking to grow with qualified and motivated employees, for our position of Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidates will be a Level II or Level III Diesel Mechanic, possess strong electrical/technical skills, have great attention to detail, and a have a passion for working with heavy equipment. You will be asked to take field service calls with potential overnight travel lasting up to 3 days. Per Diem, Mileage or Company Vehicle, and Hotel will be provided during travel. This role will include overtime, likely from 5 - 15 additional hours per week, depending on your availability.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmission systems, hydraulic systems, and other components of drilling, and heavy construction equipment, including compressors and generators.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Utilize technical manuals, diagnostic equipment, and other tools to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Complete repair orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Always adhere to safety procedures and guidelines in the performance of duties.

Qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting and Repair experience on Compressors and Generators is required
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably working with heavy oil field equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Experience driving a Skidsteer, backhoe, and / or a telehandler is preferable
