In this role, the Heavy Civil Estimator will be primarily responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings. This includes ensuring that every necessary element is thoroughly accounted for when determining the scope and values of projects. The ideal candidate will exhibit expertise in heavy civil work, particularly in areas such as excavation, asphalt, and concrete. The role demands creativity and resourcefulness in developing solutions to problems and identifying innovative ways to enhance project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain status updates on plan reproduction.
• Solicit and maintain effective communication with subcontractors and vendors.
• Develop subcontractor bid packages and ensure proper coverage on bid day.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses on bid days and scoping of specific trades.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, Viewpoint, and HCSS Heavy Bid and Heavy Job.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and strong negotiation abilities.
