Role Highlights: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a modern, high-tech fleet of heavy-duty trucks, specialized utility, and heavy equipment.
Shaping Impact: Your Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for proper maintenance and repair of our modern high tech fleet of heavy duty trucks, specialized utility equipment, heavy equipment like Caterpillar, John Deere, IMT drill rigs, CZM drill rigs, Watson drill rigs , Link Belt cranes, Tadano Mantis cranes.
  • Possess writing skills to properly document repairs made.
  • Use welding and cutting equipment to make repairs or fabricate special parts and customization of equipment.
  • Road test, inspect and troubleshoot heavy duty trucks and equipment to assess condition and diagnose repairs.
  • Adjust or repair automatic and manual transmissions, differentials, power-take-off drives, clutches and related drive train components.
  • Adjust, disassemble, repair or rebuild drum and disc braking systems, valves, master cylinders and pneumatic or other hydraulic controls.
  • Field repairs and maintenance will be necessary when equipment is on-site during construction projects.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, replace, repair and rewire electrical systems and components, such as ignitions, signals, lights and electrical controls, including computer controlled components.
  • Order parts, supplies and tools from DynaGrid designated vendors.
  • Work in conjunction with other shop and jobsite personnel.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and possess own tools up 2’’ sockets an wrenches an up to 3/4 air tools
  • Work 50+ hours per week.


Your Unique Qualifications:

  • A MINIMUM of 10 years’ experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic


Physical Skills and Essential Requirements: 

  • Candidates must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, possess their own tools, and work over 50 hours per week.
  • Must be able to travel out of town to projects for lengthy periods of time.  Time off will be structured to return to home base during assignment.

  • Hourly compensation based on experience – $28-$34 per hour
