HVAC Service Technician

Location: Charleston, SC

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC systems.


Responsibilities include servicing:

  • DX equipment up to 100 tons
  • Packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 150 tons
  • Water source heat pumps and associated equipment
  • Computer room units with self-contained humidifiers and controls
  • Gas-fired and electric heating systems up to 150 tons
  • Pneumatic, electronic, and DDC control systems
  • Air handling units, including VAV system

Key Duties:

  • Starting systems,
  • Observing operation,
  • Adjusting valves, controls, and pumps to regulate fluid levels, pressure, and temperature.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, replace defective parts, and perform site start-up services for new installations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including cleaning coils, ducts, and replacing fan belts, as well as installing electrical wiring for components.
  • Keep the dispatcher informed of job status, check in daily, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High School or Trade School Graduate (or GED)
  • Universal Refrigerant Card (Type I or Universal)
  • 4 years of commercial HVAC experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including on-call rotation for emergency service.
  • Neat appearance and well-maintained equipment.
  • Adherence to safety procedures, including defensive driving.
