Location: Goodyear, Arizona

Compensation: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Hearing Instrument Specialist is responsible for conducting diagnostic testing and providing support to the on-site Audiologist in managing hearing instruments. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient communication skills, and comfort working with individuals across various groups—children (5+), adolescents, adults, and older adults.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic hearing assessments and assist the Audiologist with hearing instrument fittings and follow-up care.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients regarding hearing instruments, maintenance, and usage.
  • Maintain professional and supportive interactions with patients, families, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Apply working knowledge of the auditory system and auditory rehabilitation techniques.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical standards and organizational protocols.

Work Environment

  • Primary work setting is a general office environment.
  • Noise levels are consistent with standard office conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, turn, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files and cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to operate standard office and clinical equipment, including computers, printers, fax machines, and telephones.
  • Requires normal or correctable vision and hearing.
  • Must be able to accurately perform duties essential to the role.
