We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in project management and laboratory business operations to lead and expand a new division within EPIC Health.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

•Lead the development and execution of strategic plans to scale laboratory operations, optimize revenue cycles, and align genetic testing services with market demand and payer requirements.

•Oversee budgeting, vendor management, contract negotiation, and compliance, ensuring efficient use of resources and strong financial performance.

• Collaborate with clinical, IT, and R&D teams to ensure seamless integration of lab services into the broader healthcare delivery model, enhancing patient outcomes and organizational performance.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee administrative daily functions of running the business that supports a genetic laboratory.
  • Work in conjunction with Laboratory Director and Technical Experts and be familiar with compliance with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and QA/QC standards.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and support seamless integration with clinical and organizational objectives.

•Identify and implement new business strategies for growth and scale.

Project & Financial Management

  • Lead cross-functional teams using agile methodology.
  • Oversee budgets, expenses, and identify cost-effective improvements.
  • Track KPIs and clinical outcomes to guide service and program enhancements.

Quality & Performance

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through audits, validations, and benchmarking.
  • Implement performance dashboards to support clinical decision-making.

Team Development and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Hire, mentor, and lead staff required to manage the business side of the laboratory.
  • Build a collaborative, mission-driven team with growth pathways.
  • Collaborate with providers, payers, labs, and external partners.
  • Serve as the business subject matter expert and thought leader.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field (required)

Master’s Degree in one of the following:

  • Healthcare Administration (MHA)
  • Business Administration (MBA)
  • Public Health (MPH)
  • Health Informatics or related field

Experience

  • 5+ years in healthcare business management.
  • Proven success in launching and scaling a business such as a genetic laboratory.

Skills

  • Strong project management and communication skills.
