Are you passionate about creating safe and secure working environments? We are looking for a Health, Safety & Security (HSS) Manager for one of our clients to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects, ensuring best-in-class safety practices are embedded across all teams and contractors.\n\nThis is a hands-on, influential role where you’ll support the Senior HSS Manager and help lead on assurance, compliance and investigation activities. You’ll also play a key role in promoting and role-modelling a proactive safety culture.\n\nThis role sits within the delivery phase of the project (post-design) and is focused on health and safety, with only a small element of security.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing assurance, building relationships with contractors, and influencing outcomes on site.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Support the Senior HSS Manager in driving high standards across health, safety and security\n\n * \n\n Provide assurance through regular site visits (minimum three days a week on-site required)\n\n * \n\n Attend incident and accident meetings, ask the right questions, and apply rigour in investigations\n\n * \n\n Help embed the Safety culture across project teams and contractors\n\n * \n\n Work closely with contractors now active in delivery phase to monitor safety performance\n\n * \n\n Write and review HSS reports as needed\n\n * \n\n Act as a critical friend – able to challenge and influence constructively across all levels\n\n * \n\n Support and engage with multiple stakeholders to maintain standards and accountability\n\nWhat We are Looking For:\n\n * \n\n Solid HSS experience on major civils/infrastructure projects – this is essential and must be clearly demonstrated on your CV\n\n * \n\n A relevant HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, NVQ or equivalent experience)\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently across multiple sites\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of occupational health, site safety, and assurance practices\n\n * \n\n Experience writing reports and conducting investigations\n\n * \n\n Confident operating at client level and communicating with senior stakeholders\n\nIf you are a high-calibre HSS professional with strong civils experience and a proactive, hands-on approach, we’d love to hear from you
