Assured Safety Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established public sector organisation based in Milton Keynes, as they strengthen their Health & Safety function. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their growing team.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a multifaceted and highly secure environment.\n\nAbout the Role:\nReporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will lead and coordinate a broad range of safety-related activities across multiple UK and international sites. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert support and strategic input across the organisation, including to project teams, contractors, and senior stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead health and safety initiatives at corporate and operational levels, ensuring robust safety practices across diverse departments and locations.\n\nDevelop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and practical applicability to varied operational contexts.\n\nConduct audits and inspections to evaluate compliance, and deliver recommendations for risk reduction and performance improvement.\n\nSupport safety assurance in complex international projects and during bid processes, contributing to the safe design and delivery of services.\n\nAct as a key advisor to leadership and contractors, offering clear and practical guidance on daily safety management and risk mitigation strategies.\n\nTake a lead role in ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations through all phases of project design and construction.\n\nProvide expert oversight of safety protocols in engineering, estates, and logistics operations.\n\nCultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, Trade Union safety representatives, and other key health & safety personnel.\n\nEngage and coordinate with regional management and construction contractors to promote consistent and effective risk management across all sites.\n\nAbout You:\nWe’re looking for someone who thrives in complex environments and can bring proactive leadership to a multi-disciplinary safety role.

You’ll be a skilled communicator, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.\n\nEssential Requirements:\n\nSignificant experience in a Health & Safety role within a complex, multi-site or multi-disciplinary organisation.\n\nNEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).\n\nWorking towards or already holding a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent advanced qualification).\n\nSound understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation, including CDM 2015.\n\nStrong auditing, risk assessment, and policy development skills.\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain high-level security clearance (UK only).\n\nAssured Safety Recruitment are a specialist Health and Safety recruitment company operating across the UK.
