Your role at Clorox:

Clorox is seeking a Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator for our Houston, TX facility. The HSE Coordinator will partner with leadership to drive sustainable HSE programs, report to HSE leadership, and interface with site leaders to ensure HSE & fire protection compliance.

Hourly rate: $33.76, with opportunities to advance through a skill-based pay system, where associates progress by learning and applying job-related skills.

In this role, you will:

Ensure site HSE leadership and compliance, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. Responsibilities include personnel training, maintaining permits, managing fire and safety systems, and environmental compliance tasks such as wastewater permits, Tier 2 reporting, SWP3, SPCC, recycling, waste disposal, and government inspections. You will lead safety audits, incident investigations, safety training, and partner with plant engineering and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and facilitate HSE compliance training.

Partner with site leadership for inspections and compliance obligations.

Manage safety and environmental activities.

Oversee permit renewals and applications.

Lead recycling and zero waste programs, working with vendors.

Maintain environmental compliance including wastewater, SWP3, SPCC.

Complete government inspection reports timely.

Lead Employee Safety Committee and promote safety culture.

Onboard new hires with safety .

Maintain HSE supplies and chemical inventories.

Coordinate emergency response and business continuity plans.

Other responsibilities

Use Microsoft Office for reports and data analysis.

Assist with contractor safety .

Participate in Safety Community of Practice forums.

Support capital projects as directed by the Plant Engineer.

What we look for:

2-4 years of manufacturing experience ().

Bachelors degree in HSE or related field, or at least 3 years of relevant experience.

OSHA safety certifications (30, 501, 511).

First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Knowledge of environmental standards (EPA, RCRA, Tier II, permits).

Leadership and influencing skills.

Effective communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

Flexibility with work hours as needed.
