Argenta is looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Specialistto join our Americas CRO team.

The Health, Safety & Environment Specialistwill work on site at our Argenta, Shawnee facility located in Shawnee, KS.


The HSE Specialist adds value through the following responsibilities:

  • Support day to day management & administration of the Health, Safety & Environment Management System.
  • Implementation & ongoing management of HSE systems as required by the business. Including participating in internal & external audits & the management review process.
  • Support and lead HSE driven projects as directed by manager and site leadership team.
  • Development, implementation & ongoing management of HSE specific documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge and influence development of, relevant HSE legislative and corporate requirements across the business.
  • Support Health, Safety & Environmental work control and hazard management processes appropriate to the Companys business needs.
  • Support contractor and visitor management HSE processes and systems.
  • Help to foster a positive safety culture throughout all levels of the business.
  • Develop HSE communications, emphasizing best practice.


Health, Safety & Environment Specialist requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in related field or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a GMP regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of safety and industrial hygiene practices, including process evaluation, air sampling and noise monitoring
  • Working knowledge and understanding of factory processes and technology
  • Work well with others
  • Good communication skills both written and oral, and ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong aptitude for technical learning, learn new skills and knowledge
  • Defines and plans priorities well. Comfortable balancing shifting priorities as required to meet business needs
