EHS Coordinator | Manufacturing | Chester, CA
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 + Bonus Potential + Professional development opportunities

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Chester, CA, is seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who’s passionate about driving a strong safety culture, ensuring environmental compliance, and making a meaningful impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support management and employees in maintaining compliance with OSHA, CAL/OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
- Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Lead or assist in incident investigations and root cause analyses
- Conduct workplace inspections and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate and deliver safety and environmental training, including new hire orientations
- Participate as a Safety Committee leader, fostering engagement and accountability
- Manage EHS documentation, including training records, incident reports, and compliance data
- Support environmental compliance programs — stormwater, air, wastewater, and hazardous waste
- Assist with SPCC and SWPPP development and implementation
- Schedule and manage hazardous waste disposal and reporting activities
What You Bring
- 2+ years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (wood products experience a plus)
- Associate's OR Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, CAL/OSHA, and environmental regulations
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to obtain or maintain certifications including OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, RCRA, and California Title 22
