This is a senior leadership position with a commercial roofing group that places safety at the heart of its culture - with no higher priority!

As an active member of the executive team, you will take full command of Health, Safety, and Risk across 6 contractors.

You will design and drive a proactive strategy to encourage active participation from all employees throughout the organisation.

Success in this role requires more than compliance; it’s about inspiring and educating teams at every level to take ownership of safety, from roofers to Presidents.

You must be a confident, influential leader who brings presence and passion, someone who can motivate others and align safety with performance, not policing!

Key Requirements

• 5+ years construction safety leadership experience
• Direct hire and subcontract field services experience
• Bi-lingual – Spanish speaking will be a huge benefit

About the Company

This private equity-backed commercial roofing company is growing fast and in the next 2 years, the company plans to unite its branches under a single brand.

Since acquiring their first roofing business in 2020, they've expanded to 20 locations and are now generating $200M+ in revenue with 650+ employees. They are focused on service and maintenance, accounts, and strong local sales, with projects split between re-roofing (60%), service (25%), and new construction (15%).

What you will do

• Manage safety and risk across multiple states and 20 locations
• Develop and maintain safety policies and an HSE strategy aligned with company goals
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Conduct audits, inspections, and roof visits to enforce safety standards
• Identify risks and work with leadership to implement improvements
• Train and support employees on safety protocols
• Lead and grow the safety team, starting with the Western region
• Travel about 25% (two trips per month, 1–2 nights each)
