Location: Harrisburg, PA (must reside in Pennsylvania and within one hour of Harrisburg)

Salary: $58,000 – $65,000 annually

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Health & Safety Consultant to provide professional safety consulting services and support statewide workplace safety initiatives.

This position is a safety consultant to the Department of General Services (DGS) in Harrisburg, PA. The role requires being onsite five days per week, with hybrid flexibility available after a period of time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health and safety training programs in-person and virtually.

• Conduct Accident & Illness Prevention Program (AIPP) reviews, safety assessments, and compliance audits.

• Analyze workplace safety data, identify trends, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.

• Support injury prevention, industrial hygiene, and safety compliance efforts.

• Collaborate with staff and leadership to build a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• AIPP certification required, or at least two years of occupational safety experience with active progress toward certification.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
