Health & Safety Advisor
Salary: £37,477 - £46,847
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location & Postcode: Allington EFW, ME16 0LE
As a Health & Safety Advisor at FCC Environment, you will advise Managers and Supervisors on all safety, health, and welfare matters to ensure the Company complies with its statutory obligations. You will be a focal point for Health and Safety best practice, providing advice, guidance, assistance, and support to ensure continual improvement and compliance across the Group.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Advise on all safety, health, and welfare matters to ensure statutory compliance
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and communicate changes
- Conduct and review risk assessments, maintaining accurate records
- Recommend control measures and advise on PPE standards
- Carry out health and safety inspections/audits and prepare reports
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, recording findings
- Advise on training/certification needs to meet legal standards
- Support the development and implementation of Health & Safety Plans
- Deliver Health & Safety training and promote a positive safety culture
- Liaise with external regulatory authorities as required
- Prohibit unsafe work activities where serious risk exists
What are we looking for?
- Essential: Experience in a similar Health & Safety role
- Advantageous: Experience in the Waste Disposal, Recycling, Collections, or Quarries Industry
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent)
- Member of IOSH
- Good knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation
