Safety, Health, Fire & Environmental Officer - £38,000 to £45,000 - Mildenhall, Suffolk



A leading manufacturer in Mildenhall, Suffolk, is looking for a Safety, Health, Fire & Environmental Officer to strengthen its HSE function. This is a key role ensuring compliance with legislation, maintaining high safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across the business. You'll work closely with managers, employees, and contractors to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.



Pay & Hours:



£38,000 - £45,000 DOE

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours)

Full-time, permanentDuties of a SHFE Officer:



Advise on HSE matters across the business

Conduct audits, inspections, and maintain records/KPIs

Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

Deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks

Review risk assessments and contractor documentation

Support audits and regulatory inspectionsRequirements of a SHFE Officer:



3-5 years' HSE experience in manufacturing is desired

NEBOSH Diploma (), Environmental qualification an advantage

Strong knowledge of ISO standards and compliance

Excellent communication, IT, and problem-solving skills
