Health and Safety Manager [RW-14412]

Job Description

A industrial manufacturing company is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to oversee a number of sites across the Colorado Springs, CO to Pueblo, CO areas. As a member of the EHS leadership team, the successful candidate will be tasked with fostering a health and safety culture, requiring the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels of the business.

The Role:

• Develop and implement safety management systems.
• Transition and shift the safety culture within the facility.
• Continuous improvement to safety management systems to make sure company is meeting safety goals.
• Develop relationships with all employees while working hands-on to implement safety programs.
• Work in conjunction with the company’s partners and adhere to their safety needs

The Candidate:

• B.S. degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of Safety experience in industrial manufacturing, cement & aggregates, or civil construction.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to act as champion for safety initiatives.
• Experience with ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 management systems.
• Expert in Confined Space, Working at Heights, Machine Guarding, and Heavy Mobile Equipment Safety regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
• Excellent organizational skills.
