Specialist, long-established engineering and manufacturing business Search² is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a highly respected  manufacturer to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit, long-serving team within a global supplier of bespoke electrical equipment, where quality and safety are at the heart of everything they do.

Why this Health and Safety Manager role could be the ideal for you

You’re a hands-on safety professional who enjoys being on the factory floor, building relationships, and solving problems practically — not quoting legislation.

You want to take ownership of ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 systems, embedding best practice across production and engineering.

You thrive in a friendly, down-to-earth culture where people support one another and longevity is the norm.

You’re looking for stability, professional trust and a role where your advice genuinely shapes safety and quality standards. What you will be doing

Managing and improving the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) for health, safety, environment and quality.

Ensuring compliance with legislation, ISO standards and company policies.

Working closely with operations, factory and production management to maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

Leading internal and external audits; reporting on performance at management reviews.

Conducting inspections, risk assessments and investigations, and driving corrective actions.

Delivering safety inductions, toolbox talks and targeted training.

Maintaining awareness of evolving EHSQ regulations and standards.

Acting as a trusted advisor to staff at all levels, fostering engagement and ownership of safety and quality. What you will need

NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) and proven experience as a QHSE / HSEQ / HSE Manager

Solid understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 systems.

Excellent communication skills and confidence working closely with operational teams.

Competent in Microsoft Office and able to manage documentation effectively. What’s in it for you

Salary up to £55,000 (DOE)

Life assurance - 3× annual salary

25 days annual leave + birthday off + bank holidays

Christmas shutdown (with additional paid days off)

Company pension (3% contribution)

On-site parking

Supportive, long-standing workforce with genuine camaraderie
