The Role

As Health & Safety Manager, you’ll take responsibility for driving best practice across multiple sites, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive safety culture throughout the business. From conducting audits and inspections to advising project teams, you’ll be central in supporting safe delivery across all interior fit-out schemes.

This role offers exposure to flagship projects, close collaboration with senior leadership, and excellent scope for career development — including ongoing training, CPD, and a clear pathway to senior positions within the H&S function.



Key Responsibilities



Carry out regular site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal standards.

Review site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) from contractors.

Investigate incidents and near misses, produce reports and recommend corrective measures.

Maintain accurate documentation, including inspections, training, and incident records.

Support Project Teams, subcontractors, and clients in promoting safe working practices.

Assist with data collection, KPI tracking, and trend analysis for H&S reporting.

Deliver training sessions and presentations to site teams.

Provide ad-hoc out-of-hours and weekend support when required.

Contribute to updating policies, procedures, and H&S team documentation.

Support the retention of key accreditations (ISO:45001, RoSPA, Constructionline Platinum, SSIPs). 

About You



NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety.

Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH).

Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).

Confident communicator, able to engage with site teams and senior leadership.

First Aid at Work certification.

Full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle.

Up to 3 years’ experience in the construction industry, ideally within interior fit-out.

Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practice.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; any experience with SafetyCulture (iAuditor) is a plus.What’s on Offer
