Health and Safety Manager
Alexander Steele are recruiting a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager for a leading food manufacturing business in East Riding of Yorkshire. Our client is looking for someone who is commercial aware and experienced in leading and motivating teams in previous roles. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing and overseeing health and safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Deliver strategies to ensure achievement of the H&S objectives.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections to identify hazards and potential risks and recommend effective control measures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
- Provide professional leadership, support, and development to team members.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety manager, preferably within a broad food manufacturing environment.
- NEBOSH Diploma qualified essential.
- Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
- A strong track record of leading and motivating teams in previous positions.
- Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
What’s on Offer:
- Paying up to £60,000
- 6% pension
- 25 days holidays + bank holidays
- Onsite Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm
