Job Title: Health and Safety Consultant / Principal Designer (CDM)

Location: Hybrid (Office-based with home and site attendance as required)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)



Job Overview:



We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Consultant to join our growing and dynamic team. This hybrid role combines traditional health and safety consultancy with CDM advisory services, supporting a wide variety of clients primarily within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients meet regulatory compliance, implementing effective safety measures, and managing CDM responsibilities throughout project lifecycles.



Key Responsibilities:



Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation and best practice to clients

Deliver the duties of Principal Designer under the CDM 2015 Regulations

Prepare and submit F10 notifications to the HSE

Manage design risk and liaise with design teams to identify and address hazards

Collate and manage Pre-Construction Information (PCI)

Liaise with contractors and construction teams to ensure clear communication of health and safety information

Write and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)

Draft and manage Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)

Prepare detailed safety inspection reports and incident investigations

Undertake site safety audits and inspections

Prepare Health and Safety Files

Assist clients with accreditations and completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs)

Act as account manager for assigned clients, managing project workloads independentlyRequirements:



Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a construction health and safety role

NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety or working towards

NEBOSH General Certificate and/or Construction Certificate desirable

Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations

Strong understanding of construction processes, with civil and cladding experience desirable

Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently across multiple projects

Full UK driving licence and access to own transportBenefits:
