Ready for a role where you’ll have autonomy, a supportive team, and exposure to varied, high-profile construction projects?\n\nWe’re working exclusively with a leading UK construction group to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor. This is a newly created role supporting projects across the South West and surrounding regions, providing hands-on safety leadership and partnering with operational teams to maintain the highest safety standards.\n\nThis business acts as Principal Contractor on all its projects, delivering a wide range of construction and refurbishment works across multiple sectors, including commercial, residential and industrial.\n\nReporting to the long-standing HSEQ leader, you’ll have autonomy to manage your own diary while being a visible presence across multiple sites. \n\nThis is a practical, boots-on-the-ground role where you’ll be building relationships, influencing safe working behaviours, and ensuring compliance across varied and technically challenging environments.\n\nKey responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor include:\n \nProviding day-to-day health and safety support to site teams and subcontractors.

\nSupporting preconstruction and project delivery phases with proactive safety input. \nUndertaking audits, inspections, and risk reviews to drive continuous improvement. \nSupporting incident investigations, root cause analysis and follow-up actions.

\nPromoting a strong behavioural safety culture and delivering toolbox talks and briefings. \nBuilding positive relationships with clients, site managers, and project stakeholders.
