Head of Finance | Luxury Retail Scale-Up | London (hybrid)
Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with a fast-growth luxury retailer in their search for a commercially astute and hands-on Head of Finance to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help drive the brand forward and be a part of one of the industry’s rising stars.
Fuelled by bringing on new industry-name product lines, our client are experiencing major growth, expecting to triple in size to £75m turnover in five years, and are looking for an ambitious individual to ensure the long-term growth of the company remains consistent from the ground-up. Reporting directly to the Founder and managing a team of two, you will have the ability to take ownership of the finance function, playing a leading role both technically and commercially. There is the opportunity to eventually progress to Financial Director level in the coming years.
Based from their brand-new offices in Kings Cross, they have their sights on continuing their international expansion. Working culture is very important to our client, so this role would best suit someone who can combine working in a fast-paced working environment with a positive and outgoing approach.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of financial reports to the Founder
- Developing robust financial strategies for growth, working alongside C-suite individuals
- Providing strategic insights into commercial visions
- Taking the lead on budgeting and forecasting
- Overseeing monthly management accounts
- Cash flow forecasting and revenue modelling
- P&L and balance sheet reviews
- Managing VAT and corporate tax returns
- Implementing new systems for forecasting and KPIs
- Supporting and mentoring the junior transactional and technical finance team
- Building strong relationships with external stakeholders
- Partnering with non-finance individuals within the business
Essential qualities
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Commercially astute and able to balance technical and commercial/partnering duties
- Experience within luxury retail
- Ecommerce and D2C experience
- Willingness to contribute to all areas of finance, from the ground up
- Intense knowledge of stock and returns – both movements and risk
- Ability to lead a small and growing team
- Excellent communication skills and people management
Desirable qualities
- Knowledge of NetSuite
- Understanding of various ERP systems
Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 + generous bonus
Location: London (hybrid)
