Our client, a healthcare software startup, is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead and scale its technical organization. This leader will drive product development, guide architectural decisions, and build a high-performing engineering culture while working closely with the founder and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.

• Incorporate customer feedback into product improvements with speed and precision.

• Design, evaluate, and implement features end-to-end across the tech stack.

• Lead and mentor a team of five engineers, fostering ownership and accountability.

• Manage project requirements, priorities, timelines, and deliverables.

• Own key technical initiatives, development processes, and engineering best practices.

• Collaborate closely with the founder, product, design, and other functions.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 1+ year leading or mentoring engineers.

• Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React; strong command of Git.

• Strong full-stack engineering capabilities with a product-focused mindset.

• Experience running agile development processes in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Ability to clearly articulate technical trade-offs around speed, scope, and resources.

• Passion for problem-solving, innovation, and learning new technologies (e.g., AI, voice-to-text).

• Excitement to explore solutions that may extend beyond software, including hardware integrations.

Tech Stack

Typescript, Node.js, React.
Experience with hardware integration is a plus.

Ideal Background

• 5+ years in software engineering with a strong product development focus.

• Experience at a seed Series C tech startup.

• Strong product sense, user empathy, and comfort adapting quickly in a rapidly evolving environment.
