Position: Interim Head of Engineering

Location: Staffordshire, UK

Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for leading the engineering team and overseeing manufacturing operations during a transitional period.
• Manage day-to-day engineering activities, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements to production machinery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges, ensuring continuity of production.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to optimise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Support the recruitment and on boarding of permanent engineering staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in engineering management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the fresh produce industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and drive results.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of production machinery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
