Head of Commercial Project Management - PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) \n£70,000 - £90,000 Per annum + Package\n\nThe company: \n\nFounded in 2018 and heavily invested by industry leaders. Our client develops, builds, and operates integrated energy systems combining rooftop solar, battery storage, EV charging, and low-carbon heat technologies.\n\nWith a growing team and ambitious targets to deploy hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy assets across the UK by 2028, they offer a dynamic, mission-driven environment for professionals passionate about clean energy innovation.\n\nJob Summary:\n\nThe Commercial Project Manager will be responsible for managing contracts from Letter of Intent through to Signed Contract stage, supported by a team of technical assistants and paralegals. The role requires close collaboration with external law firms and internal teams.\n\nKey Job Responsibilities:\n\nCreating offers for clients using inputs from various team members\nBuilding strong working relationships with key client stakeholders to reach consensus on contracts and maintain project momentum/unblock projects\nArticulating and presenting commercial principles to client stakeholders\nNegotiating basic commercial principles with client teams and assisting in closing deals\nObtaining relevant information and engaging legal firms at the appropriate time to progress contracts\nReporting on contract progress from signed Letter of Intent to contract close\nNegotiating legal terms and issues in conjunction with external law firms\nFollowing processes and reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer on targets\nEnsuring Financial Investment Decisions are supported with relevant information for sign-off\nManaging and delegating tasks within a team to meet targetsSkills, Qualifications & Experience:\n\nEssential:\n\nGood basic knowledge of contracts and property law\nStrong client relationship skills\nAbility to solve problems and identify practical, real-world solutions\nGood computer skills with the ability to analyse and report on contracts\nAbility to identify and assess commercial risks\nAttention to detail and history of delivering high-quality work\nBasic project management skills, with ability to identify project slippage and get projects back on trackPreferred:\n\nElectrical/engineering background with the ability to quickly understand technical concepts ( but not essential)\n5 years relevant experience ()\nUnderstanding of renewable energy and solar PV systems\nUnderstanding of PPA contracts and solar contracts\nTraining will be provided for candidates lacking experience, provided they have a good understanding of property law and contract negotiation.In return our client will offer: \n\n£70,000 - £90,000 (Potential to negotiate on this) \nVehicle/allowance\nRemote working.
