Position Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and hands-on operations professional to own the entire school bus hardware supply chain and deployment process for our growing hardware-as-a-service program. This is a single consolidated role that combines purchasing, inventory management, tablet staging/Samsung Knox provisioning, and installation coordination/QA for large-scale school bus deployments (1000+ buses this summer alone).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all purchasing, inventory, and logistics of bus hardware (tablets, mounts, RFID readers, wiring kits, etc.)
  • Own tablet staging, configuration, Knox provisioning, and quality control for all new and returning deployments
  • Coordinate, schedule, and supervise third-party contract installers for tablet mounts, wiring, and RFID readers on buses
  • Perform on-site QA/QC, punch list management, and rework coordination during peak install periods
  • Lead the summer deployment for 1000+ school buses
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, forecast hardware needs, and minimize waste
  • During slower periods: improve processes, document procedures, support Samsung Knox license management, and prepare for future deployments
  • Work closely with engineering, customer success, and district teams to ensure on-time, high-quality installations

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, field installation management, or hardware deployment (school bus, fleet, AV/low-voltage, or similar industries )
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience managing third-party contractors and ensuring quality standards
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight summer deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
  • Able to be in the Georgetown office daily and travel locally during peak install season
