Hardware Engineering Manager

The Hardware Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a team of engineers to design, develop, and integrate complex satellite communications systems that meet the needs of our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of systems engineering principles and practices, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire product design and project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to system design, implementation, and maintenance. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all engineering efforts align with organizational goals and client expectations. Ultimately, the Hardware Engineering Manager will drive innovation and efficiency within the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of systems, mechanical, and electrical engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Oversee the design and implementation of system architectures, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, utilizing Earned Value Management techniques to track progress.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into actionable engineering tasks.
• Ensure compliance with network security protocols and configuration management practices throughout the systems lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in engineering management and team leadership.
• Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration. ()
• Experience and knowledge in satellite communication technologies and system design methodologies.
