SENIOR CONTROLS HARDWARE ENGINEER
We are looking for a Sr. Controls Engineer with Solid experience in the Design and Development of manufacturing automation using Siemens Controls Equipment, PLCs, and HMI's
Selected candidate will be responsible for the design, improvement, and upgrade of various Automation Systems for a variety of industries, including Automotive and non-automotive clients
Ability to work closely with other engineers, designers, management, and sales teams.
Provide technical feedback and collaborate with the other team members
Participate in Internal and External meetings
Experience with various PLC & HMI (Hardware Skills are priority, Software Skills are secondary) - component level understanding
- Siemens (S7, TIA, Safety) Must have training certifications from Siemens
- Siemens' Safety certification is nice to have
- Mitsubishi (A Series and Q Series) / Beckhoff /Allen Bradely (Logix, Guard, Safety) or Other PLCs are a plus
Drives (Hardware and Configuration)
- Simatic/Sinamics Drives (S120/C120/S210/V90) Must Have training certifications from Siemens
- Siemens Simotion and/or Sinumerik Must Have training certifications from Siemens
- Siemens 840D/840Dsi with G/M Code Experience
- Rexroth / Fanuc / Allen Bradely (PowerFlex, Kinetix)
Panel Design
Component Selection (Breakers, relays, terminals, power supplies, cables)
Wiring Diagrams (AutoCad and/or Bricks Cad and/or E-Plan) 3D anything a plus but not required
480Vac Branch Circuits/Excepted(Class 2) circuit design NEC 430/240/725/409
Controls Network Design
UL508A, NEC and IEC standards experience
Control Reliable (Safety Compliance) experience
OSHA, NFPA 7E and UL/CE understanding
System Design
RFID (UHF, LF, IFM)
Vision experience (Keyance and/or Cognex and/or Apera and/or Fanuc) and Vision system lighting experience
Interlocks and Interconnections
Safety Scanner/Light Screens/Access Doors
Robots
Fanuc or Any other Tobot manufacturer
Safe working envelopes, safety zones, safe working speeds
EDUCATION
7+ years in controls hardware design with 4 year Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Degree
or
10+ years in controls hardware design with 2 year electrical/mechanical/technician associate's degree
or
15+ years in controls hardware design with secondary education
