Summary of Position:

The Hardware and Inventory Technician is responsible for maintaining inventory part levels, transporting equipment between customer sites, and warehousing facilities, diagnosing, and repairing hardware, imaging, and prepping computer equipment for deployment, and helping deploy and provide end-user support. The Hardware and Inventory Technician will be operating a company delivery truck, as well as loading and unloading, and working along with Desktop Support Technicians in the field.

Essential Functions:

  • Inventory hardware including sorting, unboxing, scanning into tracking and asset management systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair IT equipment including computers, monitors, and other peripherals
  • Submit for warranty services as needed
  • Image, configure and install applications as needed for hardware deployment preparation
  • Maintain IT hardware part levels at various stock rooms across multiple business sites in the greater Seattle area
  • Work directly with other IT technicians, build relationships and provide excellent customer service
  • Follow delivery driving routes and time schedules
  • Load the truck in an efficient manner
  • Transport equipment between customer sites and warehousing facilities
  • Operate foot and hand controls for commercial vehicles
  • Perform warehouse duties and tasks assigned
  • Operate commercial vehicle in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience

Qualifications:

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to climb in and out of the delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries
  • Valid, active Driver’s License
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no traffic violation
  • Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
  • Must pass DOT physical, criminal check, and drug screen
