Handyman - Maintenance Technician / Part Time

Location: Fort Worth-Midland, TX

Pay Rate: $28 – $30 per hour (Based on Experience)

Hours: 25 hours per week, possible full time position down the road

We are seeking an experienced Field Service (Handyman - Maintenance) Technician to join our team in Fort Worth-Midland, TX 

This is a long-term position with steady hours and competitive pay in an commercial-residential setting.

Job Details:

• $28 – $30 per hour (based on experience)
• 25 hours per week, possible full time in the future

Responsibilities:

1. Plumbing:
2. Diagnosed and repaired leaks under sinks and restrooms, replaced toilet flush valves, and installed new supply lines in small office and retail environments.
3. Electrical:
4. Replaced damaged outlets and switches, upgraded lighting to LED fixtures, and ensured all repairs met NEC safety standards.
5. Doors & Hardware:
6. Repaired commercial metal doors, panic bars, and hydraulic door closers to maintain accessibility and fire-safety compliance.
7. Lighting:
8. Maintained interior and exterior lighting systems, including changing bulbs, ballasts, and troubleshooting non-operational circuits.

General Maintenance:

• Completed preventive maintenance tasks such as inspecting HVAC filters, replacing ceiling tiles, patching drywall, and performing minor carpentry repairs.

Requirements:

• Strong electrical maintenance experience (required)
• Industrial maintenance background
• Experience in plumbing, welding, masonry, and carpentry is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
• Must have reliable commercial-grade transportation (pickup truck or transit van)
