We are looking for a hands-on process professional with wet electroplating experience who understands the chemistry behind plating—not just how to operate the equipment. This role is ideal for an Electroplating Engineer, Process Engineer, Senior Plating Technician, Plating Lab Technician, or experienced Metal Finishing professional who enjoys working directly with production and solving process problems on the floor.

Columbia, SC | Full-Time | 1st Shift, Monday–Friday

What You'll Do

  • Own and troubleshoot wet electroplating processes and plating baths
  • Analyze bath chemistry and identify out-of-spec conditions
  • Perform or interpret titrations, pH testing, concentration analysis, and other chemical testing
  • Determine appropriate chemical additions and process adjustments based on analytical results
  • Monitor plating quality and process performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work directly with production to troubleshoot plating defects and process issues
  • Maintain accurate process and chemical records
  • Support wastewater treatment and environmental compliance activities
  • Help optimize chemical usage, process consistency, quality, and production efficiency
  • Work closely with laboratory, quality, maintenance, and production personnel

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on wet electroplating or metal finishing experience
  • Strong understanding of plating chemistry and chemical process control
  • Experience with plating bath analysis, titration, pH, chemical concentrations, or chemical additions
  • Ability to troubleshoot a process and understand the why behind the chemistry
  • Experience making or recommending process adjustments based on test results
  • Wastewater treatment or industrial wastewater experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field , but equivalent hands-on plating experience will be considered
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Comfortable spending significant time on the manufacturing floor
