Provide technical advice to the GAF on maintaining the safe, operational status of all the
aircraft fleet.
• Provide technical advice to improve the management, interpretation, and use of aircraft
maintenance technical publications (technical manuals, service bulletins, technical publication and
updating, system and alert bulletins).
• Assist in the establishment (or adoption) of an integrated logistics and preventative
maintenance, inventory, and resource management program that is essential to the operational
capabilities of GAF aircraft maintenance cadre.
• Establish a program that will support continuous improvement within the GAF
maintenance cadre.
• Support the development of special tool audit and operational testing programs.
• Manage, plan, execute, develop, and evaluate:
o Quality Control Programs
o Non-Destructive Testing
o Calibration of Tools
o Petroleum, oils, and lubricants Program
• Advise the planning and evaluation of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft
and equipment.
• Assist in the development of a strict follow-up to the required periodic audits for the GAF.
Make appropriate recommendations to the GAF and OSC on relevant and necessary
training to ensure GAF maintenance personnel can maintain its aircraft fleet.
• Advise GAF and OSC on maintenance practices and processes to certify work conducted
by the technicians on the available aircraft.
• Advise in the development of a GAF flight safety program.
Requirements:
10+ years of combined experience in rotary and fixed wing maintenance
procedures, maintenance management, and supply at the unit- or intermediate-level required.
- 10+ years of experience with working in a maintenance organization, including supervising individuals performing maintenance tasks or conducting maintenance training similar to a Maintenance Superintendent in the U.S. Air Force or Army.
- 5+ years of experience with management in an organization supporting rotary and fixed wing maintenance, repair, and logistics operations to include Bell 212, 412, 407, 206B, UH-1H, Cessna 208B, Beechcraft B-200, B-300, King 90 and De Vaillant DHC-6-400. Engine brands also include Prat & Whitney, Rolls Royce, and Lycoming.
- 2 years of experience working with military units in Latin America.
- 2+ years of experience in establishing and institutionalizing service level rotary and fixed wing maintenance and logistics programs and processes inclusive of the management structure, procedures, and skills necessary to develop maintenance plans and logistics requirements.
