Join Inland Deicing Services (IDS), a Winter Operations company dedicated to the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of deicing and anti-icing services for airline partners at Denver International Airport.
A day in this role
You keep the operation moving when temperatures drop. From planning maintenance to troubleshooting a stubborn hydraulic issue, your work directly impacts the reliability of the fleet supporting aircraft deicing.
- Maintain and repair deicer trucks, GRV (Glycol Recovery Vehicle) trucks, support vehicles, and ground service equipment.
- Own the local maintenance schedule and performance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Use maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to perform precise work.
- Diagnose electrical and hydraulic problems and resolve them within established timeframes.
- Complete accurate maintenance records; conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
Compensation and schedule
- Pay: $28.00 per hour (Starting pay: $28.00/hr.)
- Employment type: Full-time
- Shoulder season schedule (May–Sept.): 4 ten-hour days, Monday–Thursday, 0500–1530
- Winter Operations schedule (Oct.–Apr.): Rotating shifts based on operational needs

What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years old.
- Speak and hear efficiently; able to read, write, understand, and verbally direct in English.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Bring your own basic hand tools (sockets/wrenches) up to 1" and up to 1/2" drive.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of fluid types, diesel-powered machines, and tools—including their use, repair, and maintenance.
- Discretion with confidential information; professionalism when working with all levels of employees and client representatives.
- Proven capability with standard and specialty tools and test equipment (photo tachometer, diagnostic tools and hardware, scanners, meters).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel to other IDS airport stations as needed (TDY).
Work environment
- Physically strenuous; extended standing.
- Exposure to noise (sometimes excessive), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity.
- Work around heavy moving equipment.
Physical demands
- Use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms; speaking and hearing efficiently.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
