XMSTART is looking to add an experienced and strategic full-time Sr. Ground Resiliency Systems Engineer to our team in Chantilly, VA. This position is 100% Onsite.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and coordination of ground architecture, systems engineering, systems integration, and deployment related to the satellite resiliency ground systems.
- Support the customer in the definition of architecture concepts, engineering designs reviews, system trades, analysis, and decisions pertaining to the mission planning, ground command and control, mission processing, and operations for a satellite system.
- Support the customer in their program management of classified programs.
- Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g. PMR, PDR, CDR, and other onsite daily meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments.
- Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks.
- Develop productive relationships with Prime/Subcontractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts.
- Author, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid the Government in decision-making.
- Frequent interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in ground resiliency systems.
- Experience with SAR systems a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.
- Proficient at program/project management within the customer organization.
- Experience as a systems integrator or SETA a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Available to travel domestically.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master's degree and twelve (12) years or more experience.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
