Job Title: Graphics Specialist / Project Manager

Reports to: Director of Digital Production

Position Status: Salary Exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Graphics Specialist / Project Manager plays a pivotal role in both the visual and operational aspects of custom furniture production, overseeing the creation and execution of high-quality graphic materials while managing project timelines and deliverables. This dual-role position requires a strong eye for design, technical drafting expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, product development, and manufacturing—the Graphics Specialist / PM ensures that all visual assets align with brand standards, support customer engagement, and meet production deadlines. Acting as a key liaison between clients, designers, and the production team, this role ensures each custom piece is accurately represented and flawlessly executed, while also driving continuous improvements in graphic production workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and alignment with business objectives..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Graphics & Design (50%)

  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining large-format printing equipment to produce high quality graphics.
  • Graphic finishing that involves laminating and cutting.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure all graphics meet technical specifications and brand guidelines.
  • Implement and optimize production workflows and tools to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Manage vendor relationships and external resources when outsourcing graphic production tasks.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management

Project Management (50%)

  • Oversee assigned custom furniture projects from initial concept through final delivery.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and communication between stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Track project status, resolve design or production issues, and provide regular updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure quality control at every stage of production, including final inspections and sign-offs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • N/A

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply logical thinking to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Capable of identifying and resolving routine operating problems with minimal supervision
  • Strong judgment to recognize defects, irregularities, or unsafe conditions and take corrective action
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Uses practical thinking and troubleshooting skills to adjust machine settings and optimize performance
  • Understands cause-and-effect relationships in equipment operation and material behavior

SKILLS:

  • Business English is required
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field .
  • 2–5 years of experience in a design or project management role in furniture, millwork, or related industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar design software.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus.
  • Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and fabrication processes.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
