Role Overview


This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in mechanical design within a supportive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist in the design and development of building services systems, specifically, MEP, HVAC and controls. You will be contributing to real-world engineering projects from concept through to delivery. For the right candidate, there is a clear pathway to progress into a Chartered / Senior Engineering role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of mechanical services systems.
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings using Autocad MEP
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, specifications, reports, operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Participate in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning system design reviews and contribute to engineering problem-solving
  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility and compliance
  • Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards and health & safety regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Two to three years post graduate experience working in an MEP design role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a professional engineering environment
  • CIBSE member
