Join A well-established Consulting Engineers – an award-winning multidisciplinary firm – as our next Geotechnical / Geo-environmental Engineer and play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across the UK.
Your Role
As part of our experienced and collaborative team, you'll work on a wide range of ground engineering projects, with responsibilities including:
* Conducting and supervising site investigations (trial pitting, soakaway testing, borehole logging, etc.)
* Overseeing construction activities such as foundation inspections, mine grouting, earthworks, and remediation
* Preparing Phase 1 and 2 geo-environmental and geotechnical reports
* Producing coal mining risk assessments, earthworks strategies, verification reports, and more
* Advising on foundation design, slope stability, and geotechnical parameters
* Liaising with clients, regulators, contractors, and fellow consultants
* Undertaking detailed quantitative risk assessments
About You
They Are Looking for someone with:
* A degree (or Master’s) in Geology, Geography, or Civil Engineering
* Experience managing site investigations and producing technical reports
* Working towards professional accreditation with the Geological Society, ICE, or equivalent
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach
* A full UK driving licence and access to a car (mileage paid)
