Junior / Graduate Commissioning Engineer



Worcestershire-based with UK-wide and occasional international travel

Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 DOE + car allowance + overtime + excellent benefits

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior or Graduate Commissioning Engineer who thrives on problem-solving and enjoys a variety of technical challenges. You'll receive structured training and mentorship to develop into a confident, multi-skilled commissioning engineer-working both in-house and at client sites across the UK and abroad.



What You'll Be Doing:



Commissioning bespoke test and control systems (electrical/mechanical/software integration)

Calibrating, testing, and configuring automation software and control systems

Working with third-party equipment (e.g. inverters, fuel systems, analysers)

Troubleshooting on-site issues and conducting fault diagnostics

Assisting in test runs and gathering technical data

Supporting remote diagnostics for international clients and team members

Helping deliver training and system handovers to customers

Collaborating with senior engineers to shape control functionality What They're Looking For:



A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related)

Strong practical mindset with an eagerness to learn and problem-solve

Basic electrical understanding and ability to follow wiring diagrams

Great communication skills and confidence when working with clients

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems

Willingness to travel and work away from home Monday-Friday (with 75-100 nights away per year)

Full UK driving licence (minimum 1 year) and indefinite UK right to work

Experience with automation, programming, or control systems is a bonus-but not essential What's On Offer:

Starting salary £25,000 - £40,000 DOE

Company car allowance after probation (£450/month)

Paid overtime for additional hours or time spent overseas

Flexitime when office-based (core hours: 10am-4pm Mon-Thurs, 10am-12pm Fri)

All travel, hotel, and overnight expenses covered

During initial training, you'll be based at the company's modern engineering facility in Worcester. Post-probation, the role is predominantly site-based, covering customer facilities across the UK and occasional international travel. Applicants should live within reasonable commuting distance to Worcester for equipment pickup, training, and internal meetings.
