Graduate BIM Engineer

Graduate BIM Engineer – Building Services – Bristol

Location: Bristol

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Level: Graduate / Entry-Level

We're working with a long-established, nationally recognised MEP contractor based in Bristol, who are renowned for delivering high-quality building services and smart building solutions across sectors like education, healthcare, data centres, and commercial developments.

They’re now looking to bring in a Graduate BIM Engineer to join their growing digital engineering team as part of a wider focus on offsite manufacturing, digital construction, and smart systems integration.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who wants to kickstart their career in digital construction and BIM within a business that has been investing heavily in offsite fabrication, Revit workflows, and ISO 19650-compliant digital processes.

As a Graduate BIM Engineer, you’ll support the BIM team across live projects, developing 3D models, assisting in clash detection, helping to manage model coordination meetings, and learning how digital tools integrate into the wider design and construction process.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with:

Revit, Navisworks, and other digital design platforms

Model coordination between MEP, architectural and structural disciplines

Offsite construction methods and design for manufacture

Smart building systems and modern digital engineering workflows

What They’re Looking For:

We’re keen to speak to recent or soon-to-be graduates who have:

A degree in Building Services Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field

Some exposure to Revit or 3D modelling tools during your studies or work experience

An interest in digital design, smart buildings, and modern construction technology

Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset – you'll be working with both engineers and BIM leads

A proactive attitude – someone who’s genuinely interested in how buildings go together, and how technology can improve that process

Bonus points if you’ve had any experience with:

ISO 19650

Clash detection

MEP systems or construction drawings

Smart building integration or IoT in the built environment

Why This Role?

You'll be joining a forward-thinking, digitally focused engineering team with a strong Bristol presence and a nationwide portfolio

Clear career development pathways – including training, mentorship, and routes into BIM coordination, digital engineering, or project delivery

Supportive team with strong internal systems, investment in technology, and a proven track record in developing junior talent

A chance to work on high-profile projects that blend smart technology, sustainability, and offsite delivery

Competitive salary, early responsibility, and a pathway into chartership (if relevant)

Interested?

If you're a recent graduate with a passion for BIM and a desire to build a career in digital construction, this is a brilliant place to start. It’s a rare chance to be trained by one of the UK’s most established MEP contractors, right at the cutting edge of smart and sustainable building design.

Drop me a message or send over your CV to discuss in more detail — happy to talk through what they’re offering, the structure of their graduate support, and how this could be the right step for you
