Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager to lead and coordinate all critical indirect procurement projects globally. This strategic role requires a seasoned generalist who can independently identify opportunities and manage the complete procurement lifecycle from project identification through value delivery. The successful candidate will serve as the central point of excellence for global indirect category initiatives, working closely with regional teams and functional stakeholders to drive value creation and operational excellence across the organization.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and tactical execution capabilities. The Manager must be comfortable operating across most indirect categories.

Matrix Reports: Regional Indirect Procurement Managers
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Project Leadership & End-to-End Ownership
- Proactively identify and prioritize high-impact indirect procurement opportunities through spend analysis, stakeholder engagement, and market intelligence
- Own the complete project lifecycle from opportunity identification through value delivery:
- Identify: Analyze spend data and business needs to uncover savings opportunities
- Scope: Define project parameters, build business cases, and secure stakeholder buy-in
- Source: Develop sourcing strategies, conduct RFx processes, and evaluate proposals
- Negotiate: Lead commercial negotiations and contract development
- Implement: Manage change management, transition planning, and go-live activities
- Deliver: Track savings realization and ensure sustained value capture
- Lead major global indirect procurement projects
- Develop and execute category strategies for major indirect spend areas including Professional Services, Travel, MRO, Equipment and General Business Services.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the central coordinator between regional procurement teams, ensuring alignment on global contracts and leveraging combined purchasing power
- Partner with functional leaders to understand requirements and deliver integrated procurement solutions
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across regional teams
Value Creation & Cost Management
- Deliver annual cost savings targets of 5-10% on managed spend categories
- Identify and execute cost avoidance opportunities through demand management and specification optimization
- Implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models for strategic categories
- Drive working capital improvements through payment term optimization
Supplier Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic indirect suppliers
- Lead complex negotiations for enterprise agreements and global contracts
- Implement supplier performance management scorecards
Process Excellence
- Standardize indirect procurement processes and templates globally
- Implement category management tools and reporting dashboards for indirects
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement supply risk mitigation strategies for critical indirect categories
- Maintain internal controls and audit readiness
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in indirect categories
- Proven track record as an indirect procurement generalist with hands-on experience across multiple categories
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects from opportunity identification through savings delivery
- Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, or agricultural industries
- Track record of self-directed project identification and delivery
Technical Competencies
- Expert knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and category management
- Proven ability to work independently as a generalist across all indirect categories
- Strong project identification skills including spend analysis, opportunity assessment, and business case development
- Hands-on experience with full procurement lifecycle execution
- Experience in procurement systems (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

Travel Requirements
Approximately 30% travel to regional offices, manufacturing sites, and supplier locations globally
