PC Contract Geotechnical Site Manager – Ground Investigation Works - civils\nLocation: West Manchester\nContract Duration: 1 Month\nStart Date: 21st July\nRate: Excellent\nReporting To: Project Manager\nOverview:\nWe are seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to oversee and coordinate ground investigation activities on an infrastructure project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing ground investigation works and working with specialist subcontractors.\nThis is a one-month contract role, responsible for managing the scope of works delivered by the ground investigation subcontractor, including drilling, water level monitoring, soil condition assessments, and utility identification.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * Act as the PC on-site lead for all ground investigation activities.\n * Coordinate and supervise the ground investigation subcontractor.\n * Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).\n * Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.\n * Monitor progress against programme and report any issues or delays.\n * Liaise with the client, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.\n * Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.\n * Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.\nRequirements:\n * Extensive experience in managing ground investigation works.\n * Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.\n * Strong understanding of geotechnical processes including drilling, sampling, and utility detection.\n * Experience reviewing and managing RAMS.\n * Excellent communication and coordination skills.\n * Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities
